Second Level is a ministry that supports the spiritual growth of Japanese Christians, taking them through the process of becoming a disciple of Christ (salvation/First Level) and then growing as a disciple of Christ (Sanctification/Second Level), based on the great commission in Matthew 28:19-20 and 2 Timothy 2:2.   Second Level’s vision is for Japanese believers to grow through the discipleship process to become disciplers themselves, thereby participating in God’s work to call out His people in the nation of Japan.

Because there are so few churches in Japan, Second Level is filling the need for discipleship to help Japanese believers grow in their faith. This ministry isn’t a replacement of the church; Second Level wants to strengthen individual believers so that the church can grow and have firm roots and abundant fruits.

Second Level recruits and trains mentors for Japanese believers, offers Bible study materials which are useful for disciple making, mentoring and spiritual encouragement, providing helpful resources and opportunities to connect to local churches. Tim led a seminar on pro-quality media production at the 2018 Reaching Japanese for Christ conference in Los Angeles. While there he met representatives from Second Level.  Tim has since been invited to come on board with Second Level as a Media Advisor to develop visual media, creative input and animations for the training materials and strengthen the visual identity of the organization.  He is fully convinced that God has given him valuable skills to put to use in this ministry.
